On 23rd November a workshop-talk about Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things was given by our Treelogic’s data scientists Roberto Díaz and Julia Lastra in the Master Executive in Data Science and Big Data in Escuela de Finanzas AFI in Madrid.

The workshop-talk addressed a classification problem using Deep Learning. Deep Learning is a major breakthrough in Artificial Intelligence with a high potential for predictive applications. Recognized as one of ten breakthrough technologies according to MIT Technology Review, Deep Learning has gone from being considered an academic field to being applied in engineering thanks to frameworks like TensorFlow or Theano.

Roberto and Julia presented in this workshop-talk techniques for data exploration and the development of a classification system for the residential use of water in its different appliences form records of smart meters.
